About The Position

The Director of Enrollment Analytics at New York University is responsible for leading advanced data analytics initiatives that support Global Enrollment Management and Student Success. This role involves developing strategies to analyze and visualize enrollment data, advising on best practices for data reporting, and supervising a team of data analysts to enhance predictive modeling and enrollment forecasts. The position requires a strong understanding of higher education trends and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for strategic decision-making.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Higher Education Research, Data Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or Statistics, or Doctoral Degree in Higher Education Research or Statistics.
  • 7+ years experience in analytics, preferably in higher education or enrollment management.
  • Expertise in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, and Tableau.
  • Ability to synthesize complex data and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Understanding of financial aid leveraging techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and expertise in advanced data analytics to drive Global Enrollment Management and Student Success business processes.
  • Develop strategy to analyze, forecast, and visualize enrollment management data including recruitment activity, financial aid, retention rates, and student success metrics.
  • Partner with the AVP of Enrollment Strategy to manage analytics activities aligned with University-wide goals.
  • Advise on best practices for external data reporting, ensuring compliance with industry standards and data integrity.
  • Conduct comprehensive analyses of external data sources to benchmark the University's standing relative to peer institutions.
  • Supervise two Data Modeling analysts to improve predictive models and enrollment forecasts.
  • Stay informed about trends in AI and machine learning to enhance data analysis and decision-making.
  • Provide recommendations on integrating AI into enrollment processes and predictive modeling.
