About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor's or graduate degree in dietetics, food, nutrition, food service management, or related science from an accredited program.
• Professional registration as a Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).
• At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in federal service.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nutrition care and treatment through an interdisciplinary team approach.
• Administer, manage, and direct the institution's medical diet program.
• Interpret the medical diet program and recommend changes to the Food Service Administrator.
• Develop, plan, direct, and coordinate dietetic services at the institutional level.
• Coordinate nutritional care with other health care providers and provide consultations regarding diet and nutrition.
• Maintain security of the institution as a primary responsibility.
