The Desktop Support position at Lumenis in San Jose is focused on providing technical support for PC-related issues, SAP, and various applications. The role involves assisting end users, managing IT projects, and ensuring timely responses to technical support requests.   • Provide assistance, coordination, and follow-up on customer issues with minimal supervision.
  • Deliver desktop support, including problem recognition, research, isolation, and resolution for system and application software, MAC/PC hardware, and peripherals.
  • Offer Level 1 application support for SAP, SalesForce.com, ServiceMax, and Enovia.
  • Translate user requests into requirements documents.
  • Record and log all details related to support calls in the call tracking system.
  • Perform system software, application, and hardware upgrades.
  • Provide telephone support to remote users experiencing software or hardware problems.
  • Deliver timely updates and reports to management on project work and unique assignments.
  • Setup user accounts and email accounts.
  • Configure printers and support for Mac and Windows.
  • Proactively address emerging problems and support enterprise-level video conferencing.
  • An associate degree or higher from an accredited college.
  • 2 - 5 years of relevant experience in desktop support.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Experience with SAP and application support for SalesForce, ServiceMax, and Enovia is a plus.
  • Proficiency in supporting Windows 7 & 8, Apple MacBook Pro, iPads, and Android devices.
  • Excellent oral/written communication, organizational, technical, and analytical skills.
  • Experience with Service Desk Suite is a plus.
  • Ability to work on projects/priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Basic skills in user management in an Active Directory environment, including user permissions and access rights.
  • Experience with Service Desk Suite.
  • Familiarity with enterprise-level video conferencing solutions.
  • Competitive hourly wage of $80 per hour.
