The Catering and Events Coordinator at Fontainebleau Las Vegas plays a crucial role in the successful execution of catering, wedding, social, and event experiences. This position supports the Catering and Events department by managing daily operations, maintaining filing systems, and ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction and profitability.

  • Participate in daily departmental operations including reporting, training, and daily BEO meetings.
  • Develop and maintain all filing systems for department operations.
  • Create and maintain a work environment that promotes teamwork and mutual respect.
  • Answer telephones and direct calls to appropriate departments.
  • Retrieve and distribute departmental mail.
  • Filter and input inquiries into Amadeus and assign accordingly.
  • Assist the team in providing service levels resulting in maximum profitability and guest satisfaction.
  • Prepare for site visits, pre-planning meetings, and in-house events.
  • Generate catering, wedding, and event prospectus, contracts, and event orders.
  • Prepare for group arrivals including transfers, amenities, and room inspections.
  • Maintain an open perspective and provide ideas for departmental improvements.
  • Audit office management systems to implement improvements and keep supplies stocked.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a large luxury resort setting.
  • Minimum of one year of hotel experience in catering and events.
  • Experience in luxury guest experience training.
  • Proficiency in Delphi and Amadeus Diagramming.
  • Knowledge of meeting room capacities and banquet set-up.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage stressful situations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience in a luxury resort setting.
  • Knowledge of audio-visual equipment and function room set-up.
  • Competitive hourly wage of $23 - $26 per hour.
