About The Position

The Fleet Specialist is responsible for ensuring that rental vehicles are ready for use by coordinating various day-to-day activities such as registration, inventory management, and tracking non-rentable vehicles. This role involves both office work and outdoor tasks, utilizing handheld devices for vehicle management and performing administrative duties like report generation and email correspondence.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in the car rental industry preferred.
• Prior asset control experience preferred.
• Prior logistic or transportation experience preferred.
• Ability to work with computers and tablets.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to navigate GPS mapping applications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities to make vehicles rental/sale ready, including inspections and registrations.
• Review VAW variance to resolve improperly coded cars.
• Organize vehicle staging on the lot for quick action based on status.
• Review non-rentable units and fleet levels, working with the Pool Fleet Manager to resolve issues.
• Ensure all vehicles are marked with the Quadrant system and follow up on aging cars.
• Inventory vehicles and monitor asset control points.
• Add new asset tags to incoming fleet and receive vehicles in EAM.
• Complete administrative duties such as data entry, responding to emails, and closing work orders.
• Coordinate transportation and car haulers, including scanning of Non-Revenue moves.
