About The Position

The Bilingual Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the clinical operations of Texas Endovascular Associates. This position involves a variety of tasks aimed at enhancing the efficiency of physicians while ensuring exceptional patient care. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for rooming patients, taking vitals, documenting medical information, and assisting in procedures, all while maintaining a fun and fast-paced work environment.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
  • Experience in a physician's office preferred.
  • Experience with Athena EMR strongly preferred.
  • Must be coachable, accountable, adaptable, creative, organized, and flexible.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Medical Assistant (preferred).
  • 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Room patients and take vital signs.
  • Document patient information in charts accurately and thoroughly.
  • Prepare sterile trays for vein procedures and assist physicians during procedures.
  • Make and receive phone calls related to patient care.
  • Assist with insurance verifications and scheduling.
  • Identify errors or inconsistencies in medical documentation and alert the physician.
  • Collect, organize, and catalog data for the physician quality reporting system.
  • Attend training on various subjects including HIPAA and regulatory compliance.
  • Edit physician's medical documents for accuracy.
