About The Position

The Bartender at Oneida Casino is responsible for providing excellent beverage service in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a personable and professional demeanor, as well as the ability to handle various customer interactions while adhering to state and federal regulations regarding alcohol service. The position offers an hourly wage of $8.50 plus tips, with a focus on maintaining high standards of guest service and cleanliness.

Requirements

• Six months or more experience bartending.
• Accurate cash handling skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and long hours.

• Bartending school preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate excellent guest service and interaction with co-workers.
• Follow bar pre-shift notes and menus to provide service as described.
• Serve alcoholic beverages in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Learn about various beer, wine, and spirits to upsell products to guests.
• Pour drinks responsibly according to company standards.
• Check guest IDs to verify minimum age for alcohol purchase.
• Communicate cut-off to guests as required.
• De-escalate situations with intoxicated guests and contact management if necessary.
• Request additional product or restock as needed.
• Handle cash accurately and maintain responsibility for the bar bank.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work station and bar equipment.
• Assist with set-up and breakdown of bar equipment as required.
