About The Position

The Autism Therapy Assistant position at LittleStar ABA Therapy is a vital role focused on implementing individualized programs for patients affected by autism. The assistant works closely with children, teens, and young adults, utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques to help them develop essential skills in various settings. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and engage in physical activities.
• RBT certification (must be obtained during the orientation/training period if not certified at the time of offer).
• Strong communication skills with patients, families, and staff.
• Dependable, responsible, and able to adapt to new situations.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in psychology, social work, speech and occupational therapy, or education.
• Previous experience working with individuals with autism.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized programs written by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
• Assist patients in learning new skills that enhance their quality of life.
• Work one-on-one with individuals on the autism spectrum.
• Support patients in various settings including therapy centers, homes, schools, and workplaces.
• Engage in physical activities and implement physical management procedures as needed.
