About The Position

The Associate Data Analyst position at IEEE is focused on acting as a Data Steward responsible for ensuring data integrity and quality. The role involves inspecting, cleaning, transforming, and modeling data to support decision-making processes. The incumbent will handle multiple tasks, including error correction, root cause analysis, and project leadership, while maintaining accurate metadata to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Data Quality, Auditing, Accounting, or Business Administration.
• Less than 2 years of data quality related experience.
• Working knowledge of IEEE products and services.

Nice To Haves

• Data Quality Management skills.
• Experience with Siebel, Oracle & Google packages and image processing.

Responsibilities

• Establishes new and modifies existing policies, procedures, and controls for the general metadata database.
• Collaborates with Data Stewards & Data Analysts to design, create, and implement Data Quality Reports.
• Resolves error/exception lists and cleans up metadata as required.
• Supports Enterprise Releases for system enhancements, upgrades, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Identifies and analyzes system/processing errors and drives solutions to resolve problems.
• Works closely with business users and Data Quality Associates to understand data relationships and issues.
• Drives recommendations for data quality improvements and system enhancements.
• Participates in the annual renewal process by reviewing test bills for accuracy.
• Participates in cross-functional teams and special projects related to data integrity and billing.
• Ensures company policies and procedures are followed and data is accurate.
