The Assistant Branch Manager at Restaurant Depot is responsible for overseeing warehouse operations in accordance with company policies and guidelines. This role includes managing various departments within the warehouse and stepping in for the Branch Manager when necessary. The Assistant Manager provides leadership, ensures optimal productivity, and maintains high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Oversee major departments in the warehouse including front end, receiving, perishables area, dry goods floor, equipment and small-wares, reception, inventory control, and cash room.
  • Manage the entire operations of the warehouse in the absence of the Branch Manager.
  • Participate in administrative functions, merchandising, safety issues, HACCP, and in-store audits.
  • Prepare for physical inventory and participate in external store audits.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to all store employees and department managers.
  • Communicate pertinent issues to the Branch Manager.
  • Provide continuous feedback to employees to ensure optimum productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Must pass drug screen.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 4 years of management experience in food service or grocery distribution.
  • Background in P&L, inventory control, merchandising, hiring/training staff, front end operations, cash control, payroll, and security/loss prevention.
