About The Position

As an Assistant Area Manager at AvantStay, you will support the General Manager in overseeing daily operations related to short-term rental properties. Your role is crucial in ensuring a superior guest experience through property audits, supply management, and timely responses to concerns. This position requires frequent travel to various sites within the designated area, necessitating close proximity to the market.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hospitality or customer-facing experience.
  • Vacation rental industry experience (preferred).
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint); knowledge of Salesforce is a plus.
  • Ability and availability to work weekends, holidays, and maintain a flexible work schedule.
  • Reliable, snow-ready car and a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to spend a majority of working time standing, walking, and driving to properties.
  • Ability to regularly bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, stoop, and occasionally lift more than 25 lbs.
  • Excellent self-management skills and ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Responsiveness via Slack and email.
  • Experience in hospitality and/or real estate and Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) designation are a plus.
  • Must reside in the designated area.

Responsibilities

  • Support the General Manager in daily operational activities related to AvantStay properties.
  • Serve as a reliable point of contact for property owners, effectively communicating and reviewing owner distribution statements.
  • Act as a bridge between property owners and internal departments of AvantStay.
  • Meet and maintain AvantStay standards and metrics related to owner satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the in-market team to ensure efficient operations, including training and evaluating field operations personnel.
  • Monitor guest or homeowner issues, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Proactively identify issues or quality assurance concerns at properties and take appropriate action.
  • Carry out essential administrative duties to support daily operations without direct supervision.
  • Coordinate and oversee housekeeping or routine rental maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct regular inspections of properties to ensure compliance with AvantStay standards and regulations.
  • Travel frequently to various properties within the designated area to support operations and compliance.
  • Participate in rotating 'On Call' after-hours market support.
