About The Position

The Asset Protection Visual Security Officer (VSO) at Bloomingdale's plays a crucial role in ensuring a safe shopping environment while enhancing the customer experience. This part-time position focuses on deterring theft through a visible presence at the store entrance and engaging with customers. The VSO is responsible for monitoring customer traffic, maintaining professionalism, and communicating any suspicious activities to the Asset Protection team.

Requirements

• No Education or Experience Required
• Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups of customers and peers
• Resourceful and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities
• Resourceful self-starter, works well independently as well as part of a team
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays

Responsibilities

• Greets and welcomes customers while on the selling floor
• Visually monitor customer traffic entering and exiting the store
• Deter theft via visual observation
• Maintain a safe business environment
• Communicate suspicious activity to Asset Protection/Security
