About The Position

The Assembler position at MACOM involves reading and interpreting schematic drawings, blueprints, and diagrams to assemble electronic components according to product specifications. Requirements

  • High School degree.
  • 2 years related work experience preferred, but will hire the right attitude and train.
  • Experience in hand soldering and manually placing small parts or components onto an electrical assembly.
  • Familiarity with following travelers and standard operating procedures under direct supervision.
  • Experience using microscopes to inspect products and ensure the highest standard of quality.
  • Due to ITAR regulations, candidates must be a US Person.

Nice To Haves

  • Wire bonding experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, inspect, and test precision semiconductor assemblies and raw components as instructed.
  • Follow documented procedures and provide immediate feedback when there is uncertainty.
  • Meet daily production rate and communicate production output.
  • Address issues immediately when production is at risk.
  • Verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to blueprint specifications using instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
  • Ensure calibrated equipment is being used as required and notify the appropriate Engineer if it is not.
  • Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Position parts and subassemblies using templates or reading measurements.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
