Space Technology Subject Matter Expert
About The Position
As a Space Technology Subject Matter Expert with MTSI you will be a lead advisor to DoD program managers and technical directors for the evaluation and transition of advanced space systems. Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to: Provide direct support to a Department of Defense customer for the Space Security and Defense Program. Provides advice, technical guidance and expertise to program staff in the following areas: o Space-based systems o Multi-domain systems o Classified technology transition Initiates, supervises, and/or develops requirements from a project's inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs Provides strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff Provides detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues
Requirements
- 15 years of relevant DoD/IC or relevant industry work experience with no less than five (5) years' experience in a SAP and/or SCI environment
- Experience must include space technology, space architectures, air-space integration, and space control systems.
- Must be a self-starter, able to take initiative, work independently and recognize management issues that need to be elevated
- Excellent oral, written, and reporting communication skills
- Ability to work in a flexible, fast-paced, and highly dynamic environment
- Ability to multi-task and maintain deadline punctuality during pressurized situations
- Masters Degree in a science, engineering, or technical field
- Top Secret, SCI Eligible; SAP experience within last 5 years or SCI in lieu of.
