About The Position

Toyon is seeking individuals with experience in C++ and Python programming languages to support space systems modeling, simulation, and analysis. Ideal candidates will have experience developing in and working collaboratively on large C++ codebases including data-oriented design architectures, event driven simulations, and Monte Carlo simulations. Ideal candidates will also have experience in mathematics and physics including systems-level analyses in missile defense, radar system simulation and modeling, statistics, numerical integration algorithms, and modeling of aerospace systems. Individuals will develop and make use of existing analytical tools to support analyses for a wide customer base. Typical projects require formulation of the analysis problem, model development, analysis execution, and presentation of the results to the customer.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Ability to qualify for a US Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance.
• Candidate must be SAP and SCI program eligible.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to formulate concrete analysis problems from imprecise need statements.
• Ability to work with others to conceptualize and solve problems.
• Versatile in C++ and Python programming languages.
• Strong math and numerical analysis background.
• Knowledge of detection, tracking, and discrimination algorithms.
• Experience solving multivariate optimizations.
• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in computer science, engineering, math, or a physical science.
• 5 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Support space systems modeling, simulation, and analysis using C++ and Python.
• Develop and work collaboratively on large C++ codebases.
• Implement data-oriented design architectures and event-driven simulations.
• Conduct Monte Carlo simulations for various projects.
• Formulate analysis problems from imprecise need statements.
• Develop models and execute analyses for customer presentations.
