Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Linthicum, MD is seeking a Systems Engineer or Principal Systems Engineer to join our Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Team. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to support efforts on both concept and product development to deliver key solutions to our customers. We cover a wide variety of expertise within the systems engineering domain. This includes mission engineering, requirements, architecture, modeling and simulation, integration and test, and verification and validation. This position can be based in Linthicum, MD or Rolling Meadows, IL.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in STEM curriculum with 2 years relevant experience; 0 years with MS Degree for Systems Engineer.
  • Bachelor Degree in STEM curriculum with 5 years relevant experience; 3 years with MS Degree; or PhD with 1 year of experience for Principal Engineer.
  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI approval/access.
  • Systems engineering experience (i.e. requirements, mission engineering, architecture, modeling and simulation, integration and test, verification and validation).
  • Model Based Systems Engineering experience with working knowledge of Cameo.

  • Proficient in Cameo.

  • Sensor/payload experience.
  • Active TS/SCI.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Payload Systems Engineering team in Model Based Systems Engineering efforts using Cameo including Requirements creation and maintenance, verification and validation planning, architecture definition, CDRL creation.
  • Engage with Subsystem teams to define requirements and architecture at the subsystem and below.
  • Engage with the Space Vehicle and Ground teams to model and manage interfaces.
