About The Position

KBR is seeking a Space Standardizations and Evaluations (Stan/Eval) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide on-site support to Headquarters Combat Forces Command (HQ CFC) located on Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO. A strong candidate has operational and Stan/Eval experience in space mission areas. Requirements

  • An active TS/SCI clearance is required to be considered for this job, which is something only a U.S. citizen can obtain.
  • 5+ years of space operations and training experience.
  • Stan/Eval, Evaluator, training or Weapons and Tactics experience.
  • Firm understanding of space capabilities.
  • Headquarters experience in the US Space Force, US Air Force, Combatant Command, CFC, STARCOM or equivalent.
  • Experience with providing strategic advice, technical guidance, analysis and recommendations.
  • Ability to multi-task and produce high-quality products in a high-tempo, collaborative environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Accustomed to professionally working with military senior leaders, offices, directorates, and action officers.
  • A proactive and adaptable self-starter with the ability to manage competing priorities and rapidly pivot across multiple work responsibilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior leaders, staff, and stakeholders across internal and external organizations.
  • A methodical and analytical approach to problem-solving, with experience following established protocols, developing solutions, and documenting outcomes.
  • Must be willing and able to work daily within a Secure Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF).

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited institution.
  • In-depth experience with U.S. Space Force weapon systems, platforms, and mission areas.
  • Prior experience serving on a headquarters staff for a military Service, Combatant Command, Field/Major Command, or an equivalent high-level organization.
  • Experience with Joint- or Service-level weapons and tactics development.
  • Enterprise Task Management Tool proficiency.
  • Familiarity with DAFMAN 36-2689, Training Program and DAF 13-602 Volumes regarding Spacecrew Training, Standardization and Evaluation, and Operations Experience operating multiple space weapon systems.
  • Experience with Joint- or Service-level training, weapons and tactics and/or Stan/Eval development.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and guidance for Stan/Eval functions in HQ CFC Deltas and aligned units.
  • Oversee implementation of HHQ and CFC training policy, guidance, and directives.
  • Coordinate with HQ Staff and Deltas to assess training Stan/Eval effectiveness and compliance with HHQ policies.
  • Conduct formal assessments of Deltas.
  • Convene or participate in conferences and working groups to improve HQ Stan/Eval policies and procedures.
  • Review and coordinate on products for consistency and standardization across the HQ and Deltas.
  • Administer and oversee HQ CFC’s Spacecrew Standardizations program.
  • Assess the overall health of the HQ CFC Training program.
  • Evaluate lessons learned and ensure feedback is documented and provided to the Deltas, HQ CFC, and USSF.
  • Validate and verify the processes, procedures, and standards used to inspect, assess, audit, certify, accredit, or evaluate Deltas and Squadrons.
  • Track and review Inspector General operational training findings.
  • Travel may be required for limited durations to support Customer events.
