SAIC is seeking a Space Protection Model Based Systems Architect to join the Space and Intelligence Business Group to provide systems engineering and technical advisory services to a rapidly expanding Government Intelligence Community (IC) customer. The customer is developing the next generation of space and ground systems, architectures, and hardware and software solutions. The Space Protection Model Based Systems Architect will serve as the subject matter expert (SME) and System Program Office (SPO) representative to design/manage complex systems and provide technical advisory services using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies to support the deployment of new protection capabilities into space operations. The Space Protection Model Based Systems Architect coordinates with the Space enterprise, SPO mission-related SMEs, the development contractor, and other stakeholders (including end user operators) and uses digital models to design, analyze, and manage a complex Space Domain Awareness (SDA) ground system throughout its lifecycle. The position also identifies space protection capability objectives, derives associated technical specifications, initiates and tracks future functional requirements, and evaluates potential solutions to inform the SPO’s future acquisition efforts.
