The Skokie Park District partners with local school districts to provide before- and after-school care through its SPACE (School-Age Programs for Children’s Enrichment) program. Offered on-site at nine elementary schools across five school districts, SPACE is a recreational-based program designed to support working families in the Skokie community. SPACE serves more than 650 students annually and is supported by a team of over 70 staff members. The SPACE Program Assistant provides essential administrative and operational support to the SPACE Program Manager. This role helps ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of the program by assisting with communication, enrollment, attendance tracking, staffing support, and on-site operations.
