Are you pursuing a computer science or related degree and looking for an internship? Our team is looking for aspiring software engineers with completed computer programming coursework in languages such as Java and Python. You will be supporting the Integrated Solutions for Situational Awareness program which provides a suite of space domain awareness tools to thousands of DoD and IC operators and analysts. This position is located onsite in Colorado Springs. Remote work is not available.

Requirements

  • Must be pursuing a degree in computer science or related field (e.g., Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Sciences)
  • Completed at least two years of an undergraduate curriculum and maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience developing software applications in Java
  • Must be comfortable taking the initiative to learn new tools and concepts quickly
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills in spoken English
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership ability through community or campus involvement.
  • Candidates are expected to possess a positive team-first attitude, a willingness to learn, and strong initiative

Nice To Haves

  • Familiar with object-oriented software design fundamentals using Java, C++, C#
  • Experience with Rust programming language
  • Experience with Vue JavaScript framework
  • Experience with agile software development techniques
  • Experience with IDE tools such as VS Code, IntelliJ, Eclipse
  • Knowledge of CM tools such as Git
