About The Position

The Sr Advanced Integration & Test Engineer position at General Dynamics Mission Systems involves supporting the Space Development Agency (SDA) team as an Enterprise Level Engineer for the Ground Management and Integration (GMI) program. This role is crucial in developing and deploying state-of-the-art ground operational systems as part of the PWSA program, which encompasses various segments including Ground Segment, Space Segment, and User Segment. The position requires a strong understanding of software engineering concepts and agile methodologies, and it offers opportunities for continuous learning and development in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.
  • 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
  • Clear understanding of software engineering concepts and principles.
  • Experience with agile methodologies.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of satellite communications.
  • Ground to satellite communication knowledge.
  • Ground operations experience.
  • Experience with DevSecOps tools such as AWS, GitLab, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform.
  • Experience in missile warning/missile tracking system integration and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform requirements analysis, definition, management, and functional analysis.
  • Conduct performance analysis, system design, and detail trade studies.
  • Oversee systems integration and testing (verification), validation, and interface definition studies.
  • Perform technical planning, cost and risk analyses, and supportability and effectiveness analyses.
  • Develop system requirements and define allocations to lower levels.
  • Conduct detailed technical analyses for subsystems or system elements.
  • Ensure designs meet applicable governmental security specifications.
  • Provide system accreditation/certification evaluation and test support.
  • Research and analyze data to determine feasibility of design or application.
  • Support the generation of technical engineering products using appropriate standards and processes.
  • Provide leadership and/or direction to lower level employees.
  • Contribute to the completion of major programs and projects.
  • Define processes for technical platforms and system specifications.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve system design weaknesses.
  • Maintain regular contact with senior levels of internal working groups and project teams.
