Requirements
- Requires a Bachelor’s or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field, or equivalent (4 years job-related experience).
- Requires an additional 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years of job-related experience.
- Subject matter expert (SME) in one discipline/field and developing working knowledge in adjacent disciplines/fields
- Proficient understanding and application of engineering principles, concepts, practices, and standards
- Ability to communication effectively with the customer and our vendors
- Self-Starter, hands on leader to for prototype efforts
- Understanding of Server Management, OS configuration, remote connections
- Knowledge of Switches; physical connectivity, and logical configurations
- Router configurations including IP Tables and subnets
- Network Testers o STE: Viavi T-BERD o Configuration and Operation
- Fiber optic transceivers use and configuration
- Timing Distribution: 10Mhz, 1PPS, NTP/PTP
- Network Protocol (UDP, TCP, Layer 2, Vita 49)
- Internet and Optical Physical Layers
- CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Applicants selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
