About The Position

As the Space Enterprise Coordinator for a national security program conducting 24/7 Space Warfighting operations, you will synchronize communication, procedural workflows, system integration and training efforts acr o ss o perations centers , mission ground stations (MGSs) , commercial resources and other partnered agencies . As a space defense mission and system subject-matter expert (SME), you will facil itate the rapid adoption of developing system tools and align network capabilities to maximize a total - enterprise force response to meet rising challenges within the space domain . A successful candidate will frequently travel and liaise with DoD, IC a nd supporting commercial community staff and leadership to assess mission protection readiness, best practices, and identify potential risks to assure inform ed program management and customer decision-makers. The a bility to manage training and coordinate participation in cross -organizational exercise s from both tactical and operati onal perspectives with advanced knowledge of specialized Indications and Warning (I&W) tools is fundamental to this position. Additionally, you will maintain knowledge of current task orders, space events, systems & mission needs and programmatic goal timelines – serving as a SME focal point for the program, customer and related system development contracts while ensuring strategic plans are implemented as intended.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of prior relevant experience with bachelor’s degree (BS); 1 2 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree , 6 years of relevant experi ence with M S degree or, 3 years of relevant experience with a PHD in related field
  • Experience working in high-tempo space operational environment with contractors and government officials (both military and civilian) of all ranks and leadership levels
  • Understanding and prior applied knowledge of orbital mechanics and space surveillance systems
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with adjudicated Poly
  • This posit i on is contingent upon award of contract

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in high-tempo space operational environment with contractors and government officials (both military and civilian) of all ranks and leadership levels
  • 6+ years’ experience with STK or other astrodynamics systems ( i.e. ASW, ATLAS, SPADOC and/or available I&W tools)
  • Experience working within I ntelligence Community supporting space domain mission s
  • Experience supervising personnel and/or leading relevant ops teams
  • Experience in Planning, ( i.e. Joint Operational Planning & Execution S ystem (JOPES), CCMD/Joint Staff planning process , J oint S pecial T echnical O perations or managing team execution of Joint DoD and IC plans and task orders

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Strategic Plans D ivision and Mission Protection to ensure approved task orders are implemented as intended across customer enterprise
  • Maintain enterprise wide-situational awareness and operational picture continuity
  • Measure effectiveness & performance criteria development ; assess risk and predic t performance and coordinate with IC and DoD stakeholders
  • Coordinate training and exercise events for national operations centers and MGSs
  • Synchronize planning efforts ; ensure Course of Action (COA) and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedure (TTPs) meet mission protection needs through training , exercise s and test checkout
  • A ssess Collection Management prioritization and mission impact drive improve d efficiencies
  • Liaise with operations centers and enterprise-wide leadership ; lead briefings, facilitate tours
  • Document Weekly Activi ty Reports (WARs) track ing significant enterprise statuses and progressions
  • Facilitate testing & integration efforts as new technologies link with all space protection missions
  • Support strategic planning and anticipate future threats and operational requirements
  • Frequent ly travel to partnered operations centers (CONUS, multiple sites within program) and ground segments
  • Work full-time on-site at a government facility in Springfield, VA
