About The Position

Space Domain Awareness M&S SME The Opportunity: Conduct research and develop and validate model parameters. Leverage substantial knowledge of Space Domain Awareness (SDA) objectives and capabilities integrated with experience in threat detection, characterization of intent, and operational readiness. Apply knowledge of the Space Surveillance Network and multi-mission sensors contributing to SDA to identify, assess and incorporate key parameters into modeling and simulation (M&S) environments. Think outside the box beyond traditional space-based ISR capabilities to inform future ISR architectures which negate threats to national security space capabilities. Where knowledge gaps exist, propose, model, and analyze technical solutions that inform Force Design requirements. Contribute to the validation of Force Design technical assumption, inputs and solutions. Leverage understanding of astrodynamics, optical and radar physics, and GEOINT, MASINT, and SIGINT intelligence disciplines to synthesize complex analysis in support of a cohesive, integrated SDA Force Design. Apply knowledge of various USAF and USSF enhancement activities in support of SDA to include ground-based radars, along with industry and international partnerships. Integrate strategic guidance, operational scenarios, and SDA Force Design at multiple classification levels. Identify dependencies and vulnerabilities to improve Force Design efforts. Document and coordinate SDA Force Design results and recommendations in accordance with established organizational force design processes and procedures.
