About the position

The Spa Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the spa, ensuring exceptional service and profitability while leading a team of spa employees. This role involves managing employee relations, training, and maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction. The Spa Supervisor plays a crucial role in creating a positive environment for both guests and staff, aligning with the company's mission to provide an engaging and enjoyable experience.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily activities and duties of spa employees.
  • Ensure employee and guest satisfaction while meeting profitability goals.
  • Coordinate employee relations, training, and staff productivity.
  • Maintain knowledge of treatments and guest satisfaction issues.
  • Administer computer operations and manage retail product merchandising.
  • Create schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels based on business volumes.
  • Monitor strategies to increase revenue, profitability, and guest satisfaction.
  • Act as a resource between employees and spa director to resolve conflicts.
  • Conduct employee appraisals and evaluations of Spa Associates.
  • Facilitate training modules related to spa services and programs.
  • Communicate relevant company information to employees and ensure procedural adherence.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding guest and employee information.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and organizations.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience required.
  • Two years of full-service spa supervisory experience required.
  • Three years of experience in a full-service spa/salon required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with a skills test required.
  • Ability to type 25 words per minute, skills test required.
  • Must be able to perform basic mathematical operations and concepts.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with progressive supervisory experience required.
  • License or training in massage therapy, aesthetics, or cosmetology required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with spa software and email programs.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing over 75 pounds.
  • Willingness to travel for training as required.
