Requirements

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.
  • Strong facility and safety awareness.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must possess basic computational ability.
  • Knowledge of computer accounting programs, math skills as well as budgetary analysis capabilities required.
  • Ability to supervise subordinate staff, including assignment of duties, evaluating service and taking disciplinary action when necessary.
  • Ability to solve problems and make rational decisions.
  • Knowledge of Montage Hotel and Spa operations.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state and local laws governing equal employment opportunity and civil rights, occupational safety and health, wage and hour issues, and labor relations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all policies and procedures are implemented, functional, and adhered to consistently.
  • Anticipate guest needs.
  • Attend meetings as required.
  • Assist, empower, motivate, and counsel associates as needed.
  • Sell, conduct, and maintain group reservations and bookings for spa appointments.
  • Responsible for meeting and exceeding budgeted goals and gross operating profits.
  • Conduct regular scheduled meetings with department heads.
  • Support Spa Director/Manager and other department heads as needed to ensure a smooth operation.
  • Complete reports, inventory, retail and projects as assigned and on time.
  • Provide direct service to guests as needed, including five-star service to spa guests.
  • Monthly inventory, retail sales and merchandising.
  • Adhere to resort policies and procedures.
  • Aid in the general coordination and relation between departments.
  • Leadership hands on, develop associate accountability.
  • Provide tools and supplies in a timely manner.
  • Work with Director of Spa and Sales team to ensure group-booking needs are met.
  • Serve in an On Duty capacity for Spa Management.
  • Oversee and effectively run the day-to-day spa operation.
