About The Position
As a SOX Compliance Analyst at Ferguson, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and compliance of our financial reporting processes. This position is based in Newport News, VA, and operates in a hybrid model, allowing for flexibility with three days in the office and two days remote. You will lead Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) reviews and other operational and compliance reviews, ensuring that our financial and IT controls are robust and effective. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the risk and control matrices, developing test plans, and documenting walkthroughs and testing procedures. You will identify key Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them. In this role, you will evaluate existing processes and controls, drafting management comments and recommendations for improvement. You will also design controls for new or modified business processes, systems, and accounting practices. Your analytical skills will be essential as you evaluate control evidence for sufficiency, completeness, and accuracy. Additionally, you will prepare and update SOX process flow charts and narratives, evaluate control deficiencies, and track remediation efforts to completion. You will also have the opportunity to perform special projects related to administration, financial analysis, policies and procedures, and accounting, contributing to the overall success of Ferguson's compliance efforts.
