About The Position

In an animal caretaker position at Iowa Select Farms, you would join a team that oversees the daily care of our animals. An overview of daily responsibilities includes, but are not limited to the following: Providing feed and water, and a daily observation of every animal, tending to newborn piglets, breeding and pregnancy checking, ensuring proper environmental conditions, light facility maintenance including rotating power washing responsibilities. All duties completed while adhering to Iowa Select Farms policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Adhering to all company biosecurity, animal well-being and safety policies
• Ability to lift, push or pull up to 40lbs
• Ability to climb over gates up to 48 inches in height
• Self-motivated and dependable
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Ability to work a rotating weekend and holiday schedule

Responsibilities

• Providing feed and water to animals
