  • Guides the work of cooks and prep cook/dishwashers.
  • Maintains awareness of current ads, promotions, holidays and events.
  • Receives and unloads merchandise; checks quality, count and condition.
  • Stocks and rotates products with attention to product quality and expiration dates.
  • Prepares food for all Prepared Foods stations and cases.
  • Processes customers' made-to-order items accurately and expeditiously.
  • Handles damaged and spoiled product according to company policy.
  • Previous food production, kitchen or catering experience required.
  • Experience in a high volume environment preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of culinary terminology and techniques.
  • Solid knife skills required.
  • Basic math and computation skills required.
  • Basic computer proficiency required.
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule in order to meet needs of the department.
  • Retail or grocery experience preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Previous ordering/inventory management experience preferred.
  • Experience with food service inventory management systems preferred.
