Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie ready to advance
  • Solid foundation in classic culinary techniques and kitchen operations
  • Experience in Italian cuisine preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm, organized, and solutions-oriented during high-volume service
  • Passion for fresh, seasonal ingredients and from-scratch cooking
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Authorized to work in the United States

  • Experience in Italian cuisine preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations
  • Lead the team during service to ensure timing, execution, and consistency
  • Train, mentor, and motivate cooks and support staff
  • Foster a positive, professional, and collaborative kitchen culture
  • Prepare and execute dishes aligned with authentic Tuscan culinary traditions
  • Assist in seasonal menu development, specials, and recipe testing
  • Maintain high standards for presentation, portioning, and flavor
  • Ensure strict adherence to food safety and sanitation protocols
  • Assist with inventory management, ordering, and vendor coordination
  • Monitor food costs and minimize waste while maintaining quality
  • Oversee prep production and ensure readiness for each service
  • Step into leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Head Chef
