Our rapid growth and breadth of accounts translates into exciting opportunities for our people!Job SummaryAs Sous Chef, you will support the day-to-day culinary operations for a high-volume ByteDance dining program. This role operates on a 12:00 PM – 9:30 PM schedule and includes oversight of a food truck operation as part of the overall program. You will assist in menu development, food preparation, and execution while helping lead kitchen staff and ensuring quality, consistency, and efficiency. This role is ideal for a hands-on, driven culinary professional with a passion for innovation and operational excellence.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience
  • Progressive culinary or kitchen leadership experience
  • Experience in high-volume, complex foodservice environments
  • Catering and event execution experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of food trends, production, sanitation, and cost control
  • Experience with batch cooking and large-scale operations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer systems
  • ServSafe certification preferred
  • Ability to participate in client engagement and satisfaction initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Support the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations, including food cost controls and purchasing
  • Assist with menu planning, recipe development, and daily production
  • Lead and execute catering events from prep through service
  • Supervise and train hourly culinary staff to maintain high performance standards
  • Ensure food quality, presentation, and sanitation standards are consistently met
  • Support rollout of new culinary programs and initiatives in partnership with culinary and marketing teams
