Our rapid growth and breadth of accounts translates into exciting opportunities for our people!Job SummaryThe Sous Chef supports the overall operation of the Culinary Department on a private campus setting with free parking and shift meals provided. The operation includes three cafés, two located in warehouses and one on the Global Home Office campus. This role is primarily responsible for leading the culinary operation of the Home Office café, including menu development, ordering, staff supervision, quality assurance, and food safety. The Sous Chef assists with daily food production and execution, ensures consistency and cost control, partners closely with the Executive Chef, and plays a key role in delivering an exceptional dining experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience
  • Progressive culinary and kitchen management experience
  • Experience in high volume, complex foodservice environments
  • Catering experience preferred
  • Institutional or batch cooking experience a plus
  • Strong knowledge of food trends, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and general computer use
  • Willingness to participate in client satisfaction initiatives
  • ServSafe certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support the Executive Chef in managing food cost controls and overall kitchen expenses
  • Lead menu planning, development, and daily production for the Home Office café
  • Oversee ordering, inventory, and product quality
  • Supervise and support culinary team members
  • Execute catering events from preparation through service
  • Implement new culinary programs in collaboration with marketing and culinary leadership
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and quality standards
