About The Position

SAGE Dining Services® is seeking reliable Sous Chef at private college in the Boston in Brookline, MA overlooking the city. Here you will be a part of a team with scratch-cooked food that is exciting, nutritious, and sustainable food. We provide continuous training to enable you to rise within our organization. A Sous Chef oversees a kitchen operations, managing staff, and ensuring food quality and safety standards are met. Key responsibilities involve menu planning and creation, staff training and scheduling, inventory and supply ordering, and preparing dishes. A successful sous chef needs strong culinary skills, leadership, and multitasking abilities. Typical schedule is Thursday- Monday 7am- 3:00 pm; 2 consecutive days off! Requirements

  • Experience with cooking in a commercial kitchen.
  • Ability to understand and execute recipes and instructions in English.
  • Ability to interact with SAGE guests and Team Members in a professional and positive manner.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare assigned menu items in strict accordance with SAGE recipes, safety, and allergen policies that exceed our guests' expectations.
  • Ensure that all food is appropriately displayed and visually appealing.
  • Interact positively with SAGE guests and Team Members.
  • Use proper food handling, storage, and sanitation techniques (HAACP).
