As Sous Chef, you will be responsible for à la carte preparation of high quality foods, according to regular service schedules. You will prepare daily production sheets and conduct quality checks, ensuring compliance with departmental and regulatory requirements. Sous Chef - Rotating Shift This position is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the main kitchen, including retail and catering operations. The Sous Chef supports the Executive Chef in the creation of recipes, design of menus, training and development of the team, and ensuring proper food safety practices and sanitation standards. This position will assume hands-on responsibilities of food preparation and cooking as necessary. Conducts daily huddles and other meetings with the team to ensure sufficient communication within the department. Assures care and maintenance of department facilities, supplies and equipment. Assures compliance of department personnel with department initiatives, quality assurance, safety, environmental, and infection control standards. Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. Requirements

• Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma
• Three to five years’ experience

Nice To Haves

• Culinary Arts Program graduate
• Supervisory experience in the hospitality industry
