About The Position

A Sous Chef role supporting the Executive Chef in driving all culinary operations for a premier Corporate B&I dining account at MassMutual in Boston, MA. This position is central to leading, developing, and inspiring a culinary team while executing high-volume service for up to 800 guests daily. The account offers a refined complimentary dining program paired with a branded Starbucks retail operation, creating a dynamic, polished, and high-energy environment where culinary leadership and operational excellence are essential.

Requirements

At least 3-5 years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience is required
Catering experience required
High volume, complex food service operations experience - highly desirable
Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
Must be experienced with computers; to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Outlook, E-mail, and the Internet
Must be willing to participate in client satisfaction programs/activities
Local to Boston, MA

Nice To Haves

A.S. or equivalent experience
Prior experience in contract management, fine dining, country clubs, and hotels is preferred
Institutional and batch cooking experiences helpful
ServSafe certified - highly desirable

Responsibilities

Assists the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and controlling expenditures for the account
Assists the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
Produces and executes catering events ranging from small to large, as well as high-end events to casual events.
Rolls out new culinary programs in conjunction with the Company marketing and culinary team
