About The Position

We are seeking a talented and driven Sous Chef to support the leadership of our newly renovated Bistro, opening this spring. The Bistro will offer lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch – providing the excellent work-life balance and a better quality of life that make private club positions so rewarding. Reporting directly to the Chef de Cuisine, this role is ideal for a culinary professional who is passionate about food, team development, and delivering elevated dining experiences. Requirements

  • 3–5 years of culinary experience, with prior supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and kitchen operations
  • Passion for creating high-quality, memorable dining experiences
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to consistency and excellence
  • ServSafe certification required

Responsibilities

  • Support the Chef de Cuisine in daily kitchen operations and execution
  • Ensure all food meets the highest standards for quality, taste, and presentation
  • Assist in developing and executing seasonal and innovative menu offerings
  • Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen team members
  • Maintain proper food handling, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Assist with ordering, receiving, and inventory control
  • Step into a leadership role in the absence of the Chef de Cuisine
  • Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure exceptional member experiences
