About The Position

At Parks Hospitality Group, we are seeking a skilled Sous Chef to support the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations at the hotel. You will play a key role in ensuring the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes while overseeing kitchen staff, maintaining food safety standards, and contributing to the overall success of the culinary team.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a high-volume kitchen environment, with supervisory experience preferred.
  • Culinary expertise with a focus on quality and consistency.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills to manage staff and kitchen operations.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee food preparation and kitchen operations during service, executing menu items to Executive Chef specifications while ensuring consistent quality, flavor, presentation, and efficient team coordination.
  • Supervise kitchen operations during service, coordinating team efforts efficiently.
  • Monitor inventory, food storage, and ordering to maintain supplies and reduce waste.
  • Enforce food safety and hygiene standards, conducting regular kitchen inspections.
  • Actively work side by side with line cooks during service, frequently covering stations as needed to support operations, maintain standards, and ensure smooth service flow.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff to improve skills and ensure smooth operations.
  • Collaborate on planning and execution of special events or menu updates.
  • Ensure kitchen equipment is maintained, reporting repair needs promptly.
  • Lead efforts to deliver exceptional guest experiences, addressing feedback and resolving complaints.
