The Sous Chef will be responsible for leading and executing daily kitchen production, preparation, service, safety and sanitation under the direction and guidance of the Executive Chef. Requirements

  • 4+ years of kitchen production experience
  • 2+ years of progressive responsibility and leadership
  • Excellent knowledge of culinary ingredients and practices

Nice To Haves

  • Bi-lingual is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning daily / weekly menus.
  • Purchase adequate supply of food, beverage and non-foods from approved vendors as needed.
  • Use and observe HACCP, as well as PA food code for safe food receiving, preparation, holding, serving, cooling, and storage.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, training, and provide feed back / counseling as needed.
  • Balance registers and hand in all receipts with cash to accounting daily.
  • Assist in taking quarterly inventory of all café food, beverage, and non-food products, update pricing and hand in report to accounting.
