JOB DESCRIPTION: General Purpose Train, supervise and actively participate in all the food productions areas of the kitchen, in order to maintain our high standards of quality. Essential Duties Assume leadership role in the kitchen in the Executive Chefs absence. Coordinate, plan, and supervise production, preparation, and presentation for dishes at the restaurant Ensures the food quality and selection consistently meets Reikart House and Jazzboline Restaurant Standars Maintains safety and sanitary standards Recommends and implements procedural and production changes. Monitors food and labor costs. Train new ambassadors in all procedures Qualifications Culinary degree preferred or 4 years related industry experience

Requirements

  • 2 years leadership experience in similar role
  • 4 years line cook/culinary experience
  • Strong ability to work in a team environment
  • Prior experience in high volume food production
  • Basic knife skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Time management skills
  • Basic food safety knowledge
  • Ability to take direction
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time including bending, lifting, reaching, and stretching
  • Able to lift 30lbs or more
  • Ability to move rapidly in a hot environment
  • Hazards include cuts from broken glass, hot kitchen tools, metal cans, slipping and tripping.

Nice To Haves

  • Culinary degree preferred or 4 years related industry experience
