Our rapid growth and breadth of accounts translates into exciting opportunities for our people!Job Summary The Sous Chef supports the overall success of the food program by overseeing daily culinary operations, including planning, ordering, inventory, and food preparation. This role ensures compliance with client guidelines, health department regulations, and company standards for quality, freshness, and presentation. The Sous Chef also leads, trains, and develops back-of-house associates to deliver a high-quality dining experience.

Requirements

  • 5 years of culinary experience, including at least 1 year in a leadership role
  • Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, healthcare, education, or similar environments
  • Strong knowledge of food trends, production, sanitation, safety, and cost control
  • Experience creating and managing production sheets
  • Proven leadership, training, and team development skills

Nice To Haves

  • ServSafe or Department of Health certification preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support daily food production and actively participate in cooking and preparation
  • Assist with menu planning and development
  • Help implement new culinary programs in partnership with culinary and marketing teams
  • Maintain food quality, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Support inventory management, ordering, and cost control initiatives
  • Supervise, train, and coach kitchen staff to meet operational goals
  • Complete additional duties as needed
