This role partners with the Executive Chef to manage menu development, food preparation, and kitchen staff while maintaining cost control and operational standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
  • Catering experience preferred
  • Experience in high-volume, complex foodservice environments strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of batch cooking and institutional foodservice operations
  • Strong understanding of food trends, quality standards, sanitation, and cost control
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and general computer systems
  • Willingness to participate in client satisfaction initiatives
  • ServSafe certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support the Executive Chef in managing food cost controls and overall budget
  • Assist with menu planning, development, and execution
  • Oversee food preparation, presentation, and daily kitchen operations
  • Lead and support catering production and execution
  • Supervise and develop hourly culinary staff
  • Implement new culinary programs in collaboration with marketing and culinary teams
