About The Position

The Diplomat Beach Resort Hollywood, Curio Collection by Hilton is searching for a talented Sous Chef to join their Diplomat Prime fine dining restaurant. The ideal candidate will be an innovative, creative, and passionate Chef with strong communication and leadership skills. This Sous Chef will work closely alongside the Chef de Cuisine.

Requirements

• Experience in culinary operations and food preparation.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef in the direction and oversight of all culinary operations, including preparation and production of all hotel meals, food quality and presentation, compliance with safety and sanitation standards, team member productivity and performance, implementation of policies and procedures, cost controls, and overall profitability.
• Create and implement menu selections for special banquet themes and events based on current food trends and regional tastes in partnership with the Executive Chef and Director of Food and Beverage.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local and company health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards.
• Assist in monitoring and developing team member performance, including providing supervision, conducting counseling, assisting with evaluations, training, scheduling and assigning work, and delivering recognition and reward.
