Our rapid growth and breadth of accounts translates into exciting opportunities for our people!Job SummaryThe Sous Chef supports daily culinary operations for a high-volume corporate café, with a strong emphasis on Asian cuisine. This role assists with menu development, ordering, inventory, and food preparation while ensuring adherence to the client's standards, Health Department regulations, and company culinary guidelines. The Sous Chef also helps lead, train, and support the back-of-house team to deliver high-quality, fresh, and well-presented food.

Requirements

  • 5 years of culinary experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Experience in corporate dining, restaurants, hotels, education, military, or health care food operations.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary trends, production, sanitation, safety, food cost controls, and presentation.
  • Ability to create and distribute production sheets.
  • Proven leadership, training, and coaching abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Asian culinary experience highly preferred.
  • ServSafe or Health Department certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel.
  • Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing and cooking a wide range of menu items, with an emphasis on Asian cuisine.
  • Support menu planning and development for the corporate café.
  • Implement new culinary programs in partnership with marketing and culinary teams.
  • Help manage food and labor cost controls, ordering, and inventory.
  • Maintain compliance with sanitation, safety, and quality standards.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.
