Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years' experience in Purchasing or Sourcing with strong project management background
  • Proven experience supporting NPD/NPI processes
  • Familiarity with electronic components including wire/cable harnesses, power cords, switches, filters, PCB assemblies, and rapid prototyping
  • Understanding of PPAP, quality qualification processes, and Lean Six Sigma principles
  • Proficiency in cost analysis and strategic negotiation
  • Experience in a global manufacturing environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic sourcing plan for electronics commodities (PCBAs, cables, harnesses, and related components) across all Life Fitness manufacturing sites
  • Support New Product Development (NPD) and ensure sourcing milestones align with project timelines
  • Select and manage suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance
  • Partner with Supplier Quality Engineering to engage preferred suppliers early in the design phase
  • Negotiate supplier quotes and agreements to meet cost and budget goals
  • Oversee sourcing deliverables throughout the LF PACE product development process
  • Consolidate supply base across sites to maximize leverage and efficiency
  • Drive supplier improvements in cost, quality, and performance
  • Lead or support other project-related initiatives as needed
