Job Summary Dominion Energy an exciting opportunity on our Supply Chain Management team as a Sourcing Specialist or Senior Sourcing Specialist, commensurate on selected candidate's skills. This position can be filled at our office at our Clearinghouse location in Richmond, VA. The level of the positions will be based on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. Sourcing Specialist Duties: Conducts major spend analysis by supplier, commodity, or service. Identifies potential suppliers. Develops and issues requests for proposal with complex pricing tables. Analyzes supplier proposals, performs legal and insurance reviews, and performs net present value analysis. Negotiates prices, delivery, insurance, performance, penalties, issue resolution, escalation, terms and conditions, and intellectual property agreements. Identifies and obtains cost improvements for purchased materials and services from supplier, through negotiation and continuous management. Develops and administers measurement tools on contract basis. Performs trend analysis and identifies and implements process improvements. Analyzes all cost and process aspects of assigned spend. May lead cross-functional sourcing initiatives, including the development and implementation of complex sourcing strategies. May perform other duties as assigned. Senior Souring Specialist Duties: Conducts major spend analysis by supplier, commodity, or service. Identifies potential suppliers. Develops and issues requests for proposal with complex pricing tables. Analyzes supplier proposals, performs legal and insurance reviews, and performs net present value analysis. Negotiates prices, delivery, insurance, performance, penalties, issue resolution, escalation, terms and conditions, and intellectual property agreements. Identifies and obtains cost improvements for purchased materials and services from supplier, through negotiation and continuous management. Develops and administers measurement tools on contract basis. Performs trend analysis, and identifies and implements process improvements. Analyzes all cost and process aspects of assigned spend. May lead cross-functional sourcing initiatives, including the development and implementation of complex sourcing strategies.

Requirements

  • Sourcing Specialist: 2 - 4 years related experience. NOTE: A partial year of related work experience of 6 month or greater can be considered towards one year of qualification.
  • Working knowledge of procurement practices, procedures, and policies.
  • Working knowledge of business and contract law.
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis.
  • Knowledge of MRP, ERP, and purchasing and logistics systems and processes.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Effective human relations skills.
  • General experience preferred in procuring general services to include but not limited to (telecommunication drilling, engineering, facilities, transportation, fleet, construction, and vegetation management services).
  • Senior Sourcing Specialist: 5+ years related experience.
  • Working knowledge of procurement practices, procedures, and policies.
  • Working knowledge of business and contract law.
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Working knowledge of company systems, processes, and/or interfaces.
  • Operational knowledge of supplier relations, priority management, and tactical planning.
