T he Sourcing Specialist, Restaurant Solutions, is responsible for the initial setup and ongoing administration, maintenance, and communication of pricing, items, and suppliers. Additional responsibilities include data collection, tracking, and report development in support of the Category Management team associated with supplier spend and usage. The Sourcing Specialist will also oversee contract administration functions inclusive of contract editing, eSignature setup, routing, communication to suppliers, tracking, and maintaining. This position will also support ad hoc special projects such as rollouts, equipment conversions, and supplier led training. The ideal candidate must be a motivated team player that has an elevated attention to detail, organization, service, communication, and developing strong working relationships. Restaurant Solutions has procurement and supply chain responsibilities for indirect products and services, such as kitchen equipment, smallwares, custom fabrication, distribution, and consolidation programs, construction materials, furnishings, lighting, signs, and store-level services. The Sourcing Specialist will report directly to the Senior Director, Restaurant Solutions NDCP; this position is located in Duluth, GA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business related field preferred, other equivalent experience in procurement or supply chain team support role considered
  • 1-3 years of experience in the Foodservice, Hospitality, or Construction industry a plus
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • SAP experience preferred, Smartsheet experience a plus
  • High attention to detail and quality of work
  • Team player, service-oriented, with excellent relationship development skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and multitask with limited supervision
  • Able to adapt to rapidly changing situations and priorities
  • Dedicated, collaborative, and proactive
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
  • Ability to operate a computer keyboard and to view a computer screen for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift, tug, pull up to fifteen (15) pounds

Responsibilities

  • Oversee initial setup and ongoing maintenance of pricing, item, and supplier data in relevant systems.
  • Coordinate with NDCP Transportation to determine optimal delivery terms, freight rates, and class.
  • Partner with Accounts Payable to resolve pricing discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Communicate price changes promptly to Category Management, Inventory, Finance, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Administer supplier contracts, including eSignature routing, supplier communication, and record maintenance.
  • Maintain centralized tracking, dashboards, and reporting tools to support Category Management and quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
  • Support Category Managers with preparation of Request for Information, Request for Proposal and Request for Quote
  • Act as an internal analyst, providing data-driven insights and recommendations to improve program effectiveness and supplier performance.
  • Engage with suppliers to secure ongoing sales data and rebate income, as required.
  • Work with Suppliers and Inventory Buyers to resolve supply challenges in a timely manner
  • Problem-solve and resolve supplier performance issues, working closely with franchisees and internal stakeholders.
  • Problem solving, issue resolution, and follow-up with suppliers, franchisees, and internal NDCP team members tied to supplier performance
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
