About The Position

Crown Equipment Corporation is a leading innovator in world-class forklift and material handling equipment and technology. This role supports sourcing activities for assigned categories by assisting with supplier communication, quotations, and data analysis. It also involves maintaining accurate supplier, pricing, and part data within procurement systems to support business continuity, assisting with supplier performance tracking, and collaborating with various departments like Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Finance. The specialist will participate in RFQs, cost comparisons, and savings tracking activities, and support supplier onboarding, documentation, and compliance requirements, while developing foundational sourcing and negotiation skills.

Requirements

  • 0-2 years related experience
  • Associate degree (Supply Chain or Business)
  • Non-degree considered if 6+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED
  • Frequent travel and occasional overnight stays
  • Must be willing to work onsite – New Bremen, Ohio

Nice To Haves

  • Interpersonal, teamwork and negotiation aptitude skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Manufacturing Engineering or other technical experience.
  • CPSM, APICS, CIPS, or comparable training are also preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support sourcing activities for assigned categories by assisting with supplier communication, quotations, and data analysis.
  • Maintain accurate supplier, pricing, and part data within procurement systems to support business continuity.
  • Assist with supplier performance tracking, issue documentation, and reporting under guidance from senior team members.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Finance to support part qualification, changes, and basic sourcing initiatives.
  • Participate in RFQs, cost comparisons, and savings tracking activities.
  • Support supplier onboarding, documentation, and compliance requirements.
  • Develop foundational sourcing and negotiation skills through hands-on experience and training.
