Whether identifying opportunities to reduce clients’ equipment or construction costs, managing capital expenditure (CapEx) purchases, or proposing innovative solutions that curb the effect of soaring prices and longer lead times, Accenture’s Sourcing & Procurement team delivers tangible business results for our clients - while also enhancing the employee experience, customer satisfaction, and community impact. As an Equipment and Construction Management Manager, you will have a dedicated focus on Accenture’s Equipment and Construction Center of Excellence to support all aspects of client-facing equipment and construction sourcing and cost optimization projects. You will be expected to work closely with clients and suppliers to drive project initiatives and will lead consulting, problem solving, project management, and data analysis that will be the basis for strategic client decision making. Further, you will play an important role in deepening the expertise of Accenture’s Equipment and Construction Center of Excellence and capturing knowledge to support business development opportunities while helping scale Accenture’s equipment and construction capabilities.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant business experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ Procurement and sourcing experience, including exposure to equipment & construction negotiations
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with Microsoft Office (Excel & PowerPoint) products, including the ability to develop and interpret complex analytical models and ad-hoc reports
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If associate degree, must have a minimum of 6 years’ work experience)

  • You have earned an MBA or equivalent graduate degree
  • Equipment or Construction Sourcing Manager with Consulting Experience - prior consulting firm experience combined with hands-on knowledge of equipment or construction sourcing or project execution.
  • Mission Critical Equipment / CapEx Procurement Manager - background in procurement management/directorship from industries with significant capital equipment investments.
  • Construction Services / General Contractor / Subcontractor SME - background in operations, cost estimation, financial analysis, procurement, construction management, engineering, or supply chain management.
  • MEP engineer (Mechanical, Electrical) Industry Backgrounds - applicants from the High Tech, Data Center, Life Sciences, Utilities, and Industrials industries are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Developing project plans and leading some or all parts of the client engagement
  • Managing project support resources and coordinating with subject matter experts from within and outside the firm
  • Developing creative cost reduction strategies and cost-out recommendations
  • Presenting to client executives
  • Building consensus among client stakeholders
  • Developing and nurture relationships with clients
  • Supporting practice development such as improving internal operations, intellectual capital, and deliverables
  • Assessing client expenditures and identifying targets to reduce costs and improve quality
  • Driving strategic sourcing (both within companies and across private equity portfolios)
  • Reengineering procurement processes
  • Leading spend analysis and savings opportunity diagnostics
  • Providing Resins sourcing and/or Plastics manufacturing industry thought leadership and benchmarking
  • Create and curate deliverable content (POV slides, case studies, whitepapers, etc.) to capture category knowledge and ultimately support internal knowledge share and business development
