About The Position

This position reports directly to the Sr. Procurement Manager. The Sourcing Manager is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers/vendors to meet the organization's procurement needs. They will play a crucial role in optimizing the sourcing process, negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing or related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of sourcing strategies, supplier evaluation, negotiation techniques, and contract management.
  • Proficient in using sourcing tools, e-procurement systems, and supplier relationship management software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Effective negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality in all sourcing activities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Proficient written, verbal and oral English communication skills are required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools including Outlook, Microsoft, and Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) or Masters education in Business/Supply Chain are a plus.
  • Understanding of 503B regulatory requirements, cGMP standards, and USP guidelines is a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Supplier Identification and Evaluation:
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers/vendors and maintain a comprehensive supplier database.
  • Evaluate suppliers based on their capabilities, quality, reliability, financial stability, and compliance with company standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand sourcing requirements and develop supplier selection criteria.
  • Strategic Sourcing:
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to secure supply, optimize cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Conduct Request for Proposal (RFP) processes, analyze supplier proposals, and negotiate contracts and pricing agreements.
  • Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation, standardization, and process improvements.
  • Utilize Strategic Sourcing frameworks to segment spending, suppliers and identify sourcing opportunities
  • Supplier Relationship Management:
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring open lines of communication and effective collaboration.
  • Monitor supplier performance, including delivery, quality, and service levels, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop and implement a Supplier Relationship Management program including scorecard development and delivery.
  • Conduct supplier performance evaluations and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Contract Management:
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, ensuring terms and conditions are favorable to the organization.
  • Monitor contract compliance, resolve any contractual disputes, and implement necessary amendments or modifications.
  • Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure contract adherence and mitigate risks.
  • Market Analysis and Benchmarking:
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies related to the sourcing category.
  • Conduct benchmarking exercises to evaluate supplier performance against industry standards and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide recommendations for alternative suppliers, materials, or processes to optimize sourcing strategies.
  • Drive alternate sourcing, supplier consolidation and localization to maximize pricing leverage and cycle time improvements.
  • Negotiate business T & C's relating to: pricing, payment terms, delivery terms, inventory strategies, lead times, and other strategic issues with key suppliers.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, quality, and finance, to align sourcing strategies with business goals.
  • Engage stakeholders to understand their requirements, provide sourcing guidance, and resolve any sourcing-related issues.
  • Prepare RFx, analyze proposals, and lead cross-functional supplier selections
  • Other duties as assigned.
