About The Position

The position involves developing and executing sourcing strategies for equipment in alignment with the product roadmap, focusing on transitioning from legacy to next-generation products. The role requires strong supplier management skills, particularly in the heavy machinery industry, to ensure cost control, capacity improvement, and risk mitigation. The candidate will be responsible for building strategic relationships with suppliers, leading improvement projects, and overseeing the supply chain for after-service support. Additionally, the role includes planning and production readiness, ensuring efficient processes between business units and functional teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of Sourcing or Supply Chain experience in heavy machinery or similar industries.
  • Working knowledge of pile driving or similar machines/equipment.
  • Experience managing the industrialization of complex machinery.
  • Strong experience managing a global supplier base and team.
  • Understanding of BOM structuring, MRP/ERP systems, and supplier qualification.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity in start-up environments.
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and safety standards in manufacturing.

  • Experience in early-stage product development and ramp.
  • Willingness to travel (25%) to Asia, EU, and within the US.
  • Domain expertise in machines/equipment and foundation technology.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a supplier chain strategy in line with the Equipment product roadmap.
  • Control costs and improve capacity and delivery of equipment suppliers.
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with legacy suppliers.
  • Develop strategic relationships with critical equipment suppliers.
  • Lead bid and quote analysis, negotiate pricing, and execute contracts.
  • Support after-service supply chain development for spares and fleet demand.
  • Report on supply chain risk, readiness, and timelines.
  • Oversee forecast, demand planning, allocations, and procurement processes.
  • Develop readiness plans for early builds, pilots, and scaled production.
  • Coordinate build readiness with internal and external assembly teams.
